For years, Ian Mays, co-founder of Premier Exterior Solutions, was the go-to person for friends, family, and neighbors looking to revitalize their outdoor spaces. Driven by a passion for the dramatic, transformational results that come from doing the job right, Ian spent years perfecting the craft of exterior cleaning.

 

However, as he dove deeper into the industry, a concerning trend emerged. The market was becoming flooded with "splash and dash" companies and nationwide franchises focused on one thing: rushing through as many jobs as possible. To achieve high speeds, many relied on harsh chemicals and overly aggressive equipment that compromised the long-term health of surfaces, plants, and even the safety of families.

 

As someone who takes immense pride in his own home and family, Ian knew there had to be a better way. Premier Exterior Solutions was born out of a desire to reject the "race to the bottom" and offer the local community a safer, higher-quality alternative relentlessly focused on precision, safety, and exceeding expectations.

 

We prioritize the quality of our craftsmanship over the speed of completing the job. Every property we step onto is treated with the exact same care and attention we give our own home.

Meet the Owners

Ian  and his wife, Karli, were born and raised right here in Iowa. Together, they live in Johnston, and have two children. When they aren't helping homeowners fall in love with their properties again, you’ll find them active in their local church or on the sidelines coaching their children’s sports teams.

After nearly two decades in Corporate America spanning Finance and Information Technology, Ian decided to step away from the corporate ladder to build something truly meaningful with Karli. Karli loves operating behind the scenes and helping with the day-to-day operations.
